***The Jimmy Stewart Museum is in trouble and help is desperately needed for it to remain open!***
A sad sign of the times, I’m afraid 😦
However, when everyone sits down to watch, “It’s A Wonderful Life” for the 1000th time this Christmas, think about the hours of joy and entertainment that Jimmy Stewart has given YOU over the years…an iconic American hero, he can’t be forgotten and lost to future generations. The modest museum is operated in his home town of Indiana, PA.

Museums demand constant customers in numbers – and that’s a problem with movie stars with dwindling fan bases. In the next 20-30 years many people who grew up watching James Stewart movies will have passed away. Only cable companies such as TCM and FMC are keeping old films alive for TV audiences. And biographers such as yourself and myself Michelle. And you can always purchase DVDs. But the audience is dwindling rather than expanding as each decade passes.
Sadly, it seems the only way people will appreciate the history of Hollywood is when places like this are gone! First the Roy Rogers Museum, now this?! 😦
