I really think this story needs to be put to rest. The poor woman has become more famous for her grim death than for her life. She has a cult following for two low budget sci-fi movies from the 1950s and a Playboy Playmate centrefold photographed by Russ Meyer. Most of her career was spent in television guest spots. She did have other talents as a singer but was largely unknown to the vast majority of the public. Had she not died such a sad death her passing would have gone unnoticed by the press. RIP Yvette Vickers.
I will always remember her for her role in the ’50’s B classic, “Attack Of The Giant Leeches”.. R.I.P. Yvette Vickers.
