Marilyn reading Motion Picture Daily is a revealing photograph. She looks quite ordinary in this. I hate the picture of her posing on a lawn. The photographer looks so voyeuristic. You can imagine him saying – “Now I want more flesh.” It looks seedy.
I wish I looked that “ordinary” – LOL! Seriously, you think about having a camera being clicked at you when you’re doing everyday things, such as reading. Us regular folk pose for a photo, but to be photographed when we least expect it, imagine how we’d look?! Sure, there are photos where MM looks better than others, but in all honesty, I don’t think there’s a person on this earth, living or otherwise, that could take so many good photos all the time. Especially given her health problems later on. She rarely took a bad photo.
You sound suspiciously like a fan Michelle. 🙂
I do admire her, Paul. She got such a raw deal in life and she was exploited from such an early age, by so many people.
I guess it’s fair to say she was one of the first celebrities to be “hunted” by photographers. In the days before the “paparazzi,” as we know it today, MM was photographed wherever she went. She resorted to wearing disguises and she had assumed names in an attempt to escape who she was. Unlike any other actress of her time, getting her photograph, no matter what, was a hot commodity.
