   If Jean Du Jardin had been alive in the silent era he’d be a major star. He has a unique look about him and a genuine humilty and charm. I’m a fan and I haven’t seen The Artist yet. Glad he won Best actor.

   He does have that “silent era look”. Very John Gilbert, I think, even without the moustache that he has in “The Artist”. I cheered when he won too. I just found out that our local theatre will be showing the film early-March (limited run), so we’ll be going, for sure.
