In the 1950s Kim Novak was often competing with Jennifer Jones for roles and getting them. An interesting woman.
I am stunned. Ms Novak was such a private person and that she would share this with thousands of people watching is something else. I admired her in her movies and wish her well. Bi-Polar disease is horrific for the suffer and for the loved ones. I hope that she has the proper treatment.
I could have sworn she disclosed this information on Larry King years ago. I still haven’t really made up my mind about her. I like her in Pal Joey, but can’t stand her in Bell, Book, Candle.
I think possibly her timing was way off, she missed the golden Era of the Hollywood Studio System, The Culture was changing, and the no one REALLY knew what to do with her.
She was too Late for Hollywood’s Grand Days & Too Early for today’s culture. I think in today’s Hollywood she would be a big star.
