It’s been 50 years since we lost an icon – Marilyn Monroe. Still, five decades on from her tragic, mysterious death, she’s still studied, ogled and emulated to this day.
Her mystique is timeless. The half-century anniversary of her passing has generated a boom of news articles. One of which I’ve posted at the link below:

This weekend marks the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death. In the words of Elton John, “her candle burned out long before her legend ever did.” Light a candle for her this weekend – August 4/5, 2012.
