Lupe Vélez Release Date Update!

My book on the life and career of Lupe Vélez will be released sometime late May/early June. I am still awaiting the proofs. Of course, I will post more info as it comes to hand. The book is extensive and it takes quite a bit of time for the publisher to compile it all into book format. I do appreciate your patience 🙂

SMASH…The Making of a Marilyn Monroe Musical…on TV!

Premiering early February, SMASH looks like an interesting concept. Not sure about the longevity of a show about the making of a Marilyn Monroe musical though…two seasons, maybe. That said, the ensemble cast has a depth of talent to pull this off, and, it’s an ORIGINAL idea! Gotta love that!

I’ll be watching. Will you?

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death…

I am currently writing a book dedicated to her films. The scheduled release date will be sometime late in 2013, possibly early 2014.

2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 33,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 12 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
